The original McDonalds might be under water, literatly!

The original McDonald's might be under water in Chicago, which is in a state of emergency because of a flood that swept the city on April 18, 2013.

Today, the building acts as a museum. All products are made as they were in the 1950's.
That means that potatoes are peeled and fried on-site and soda comes from barrels.
it would be devastating to have our very first McDonald's destroyed. it has much value and having it destroyed would make it lose much of its history.

Mcdonald's new McWrap

McDonalds ever-widening menu could be hurting business because it overwhelms customers and increases wait times.
McDonald's sales are down, which the retailer blames on the uncertain economy and poor customer service.
A McDonald's rep, however, noted that it does not "comment on speculation or information we believe was obtained through unauthorized means."

McDonald's officially added a new sandwich called the "Chicken McWrap" to its permanent menu in the U.S., and Ad Age reports that this is the item the fast food chain hopes will take on Subway.
The McWrap totals between 360 and 600 calories, depending on whether the chicken is grilled or deep fried. It also comes in Chicken & Bacon, Sweet Chili Chicken and Chicken & Ranch

The government
Together, they dedicated a room in the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center to Gabriel Zimmerman, an aide who died in the shooting rampage that critically wounded Giffordstwo years ago.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said on Tuesday that the Senate will hold votes on a number of gun-related amendments — including a 4 p.m. vote Wednesday on the background check amendment that is sponsored by Sens. Pat Tooney.

Gun-control advocates frequently point out that more than 90 percent of Americans support expanded background checks.
this is a great idea to enforce the rules on this gun control. weather certified already or not, a background check is necessary.

Marijuana Wins!

Atleast when it comes to marijuana the war on drugs is over!

What this means is that a perfect storm is developing when it comes to a potential end for the War on Drugs. Americans like marijuana. States are interested in legalizing it. Law enforcement is upset with the failure of the current drug policy.
The federal government is listening to the marijuana lobby.
The past three U.S. presidents admitted to smoking marijuana. The discrimination and the talk about it will end just like prohibition in the 1920's the government couldn't tax the alcohol there was no way money could have been made from it,when it was legalized in 1933 the government was able to tax it and make money out of it.

Is marijuana good for you?

Marijuana, the dried form of the plant Cannabis sativa, was used as an herbal remedy for centuries in China, the Middle East, and Asia
It hasn't always been the most harmful thing in the world.
It was commonly prescribed as a pain reliever in the U.S. until the 1930s, when its growing popularity caused such concern that the newly founded Federal Bureau of Narcotics reclassified it as a narcotic.

what is the "high" that most people are getting from marijuana?
It can be chewed or smoked, and the chemical called tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is absorbed into the bloodstream, activating proteins in the user's brain and spinal cord.

It produces short-term psychoactive effects, including euphoria, a heightened state of awareness, and a sharp appetite. But there is no evidence that it is harmful to you, in fact it helps you with nausea and vomiting, and helps with appetite.
